Size guide
Goalie leg pads are sized by the ATK (ankle-to-knee) measurement, not by height. Height is a starting point only — take the ATK measurement before ordering.
Measuring ATK
- Sit with your knee bent at 90 degrees, foot flat on the floor.
- Measure from the floor to the centre of the knee cap. That is your ATK.
- Add your thigh rise preference (typically 6" – 8") to the ATK, then add the boot length to reach total pad size.
| Height | Starting pad size |
|---|---|
| Under 4'6" | 24" – 26" |
| 4'6" – 5'0" | 26" – 28" |
| 5'0" – 5'4" | 28" – 30" |
| 5'4" – 5'8" | 30" – 32" |
| 5'8" – 6'0" | 32" – 34" |
| 6'0" and up | 34" – 36" |
Catcher and blocker are sized Youth / Junior / Intermediate / Senior to match the pads and the player's hand size.
Chest and arm protectors are sized by chest measurement and height — a unit that rides up over the collarbone or leaves a gap at the belly is the wrong size regardless of the label.
Goalie sticks are sized by paddle length: in your stance, the paddle should sit flush with the ice while the blade lies flat. Typical paddle lengths run 21" – 23" for junior, 23" – 25" for intermediate, and 25" – 27" for senior.
